SYNOPSIS
zopen-rpmbuild<spec_file> [options]
DESCRIPTION
Build an RPM package from an existing spec file, and optionally sign it.
Works for both regular packages (with source files) and virtual/meta packages (spec files with no Source: tag and no %install/%files section).
Arguments:
spec_file
Path to the RPM spec file to build
OPTIONS
--source <file>
Source file to copy into SOURCES/ before building. May be repeated for multiple source files. Omit entirely for virtual/meta packages that have no sources (e.g. dependency group packages).
--source-dir <dir>
Directory containing source files. All files in this directory will be copied to SOURCES/ before building. Cannot be used together with --source.
--build-binary
Build binary RPM only (no source RPM, faster)
--buildroot <dir>
RPM build root directory (default: ˜/rpmbuild)
--sign | GPG-sign all generated RPM packages after a successful build. Requires: |

ZOPEN_GPG_SECRET_KEY_PASSPHRASE_FILE
-u, --upgradedeps
Upgrade all dependencies (rpm, gpg) by running zopen install before building
--dry-run
Show what would be done without doing it
--verbose
Enable verbose/debug output (set -x)
--help | Display this help message |
--version
Display tool version
Environment (required for --sign):
ZOPEN_GPG_SECRET_KEY_FILE
Path to the GPG secret key (armored)
ZOPEN_GPG_SECRET_KEY_PASSPHRASE_FILE
Path to a file containing the passphrase
EXAMPLES
# Build a virtual/meta package (no sources needed) zopen-rpmbuild meta-zopen-devtools.spec
# Build a regular package with a pax source file zopen-rpmbuild mypackage.spec --source /path/to/mypackage.pax.Z
# Build binary RPM only zopen-rpmbuild mypackage.spec --source /path/to/mypackage.pax.Z --build-binary
# Build and sign zopen-rpmbuild mypackage.spec --source /path/to/mypackage.pax.Z --sign
